Introduction

Netperf3 is a network benchmark used to measure network throughput on different platforms. Netperf3 is available at www.netperf.org  under experimental directory.  Netperf3 does not have many of the features like the previous versions of netperf. However netperf3 supports both multi-thread and multi-process model.  Netperf3 is extended to support multiple adapters on both the server and the client.  We are also in the process of adding synchronizing multiple clients and porting some of the features such as tcp_rr, tcp_crr, udp_rr, convergence etc., to netperf3.  Netperf3 with multi-adapter support version is used for TCP Streaming test to measure the network performance of Linux 2.4.x kernel. The main goal here is to drive the server to its full capacity.
